A&HT 4500.02
Academic Speaking
Wednesdays, 3-4:40pm
CRN 31247
Instructor: Drew S. Fagan

This is a course for non-native English-speaking graduate students who want to develop academic speaking skills for the TC classroom.

This course will help you with the development and practice of the speaking and presenting skills needed to succeed in a graduate academic setting in an American university. We will focus on various speaking events and activities, such as participating in group-discussions in class, communicating with professors both in the class and during office hours, and giving academic presentations in class and at conferences. A significant amount of time will be conducted in a workshop-style format; therefore, active participation is essential.
