Tutoring at Heritage School

The Office of School and Community Partnerships in collaboration with Heritage School is seeking graduate students to serve as tutors either during or after school to help struggling students in reading, math, science and social studies.

The Heritage School is a public high school in East Harlem that was founded through a partnership between Teachers College and the New York City Department of Education. TC plays an ongoing role in supporting the school and its students.

Responsibilities:

  • Tutor individual or groups of students 2-3 days a week for (4-6 hours total each week) on site at Heritage School

Qualifications:

  • Weekly commitment through May
  • Experience in tutoring area required
  • Experience with high-need high school youth preferred

Compensation:  $20 per hour.

This is an interim position, beginning immediately with a commitment through May.
